The Fanficforum Frankfurt is a place to discuss fanfiction in an academic context for students and everyone else who is interested. How can we use fanfics in literary and cultural studies? What insights can different scholarly perspectives provide on fanfiction?
Every meeting covers a different topic, e.g., race, gender, genre, RPF, or author’s note. The primary texts – the fanfics – can be selected by participants; the secondary texts are usually provided.
At the end of every semester, we will host a project forum where participants can discuss potential research issues for their term papers and theses about fanfiction.
